  • Theme is supposed to be Shadow and Alchemy. Art looks good and the side scrolling is fun. Looks like most of the mechanics didn't make it into the game.

Shadows of Redemption is a puzzle platformer set in a chaotic world where you play as Sir Hurmac, a cursed paladin. After defeating a vampire lord, Hurmac’s sacred powers now harm him, and his comrades have turned against him. He must reach the Paladin stronghold to find the one person who can save him.

Mechanics: Players navigate through levels, avoiding or confronting patrols. Choices between using sacred abilities (which harm Hurmac) or dark powers (which speed up his corruption) affect the narrative and gameplay.

Story: The game explores themes of redemption, moral ambiguity, and the struggle for atonement. Hurmac’s journey is both a physical and spiritual quest for redemption.

Controls: Players control Hurmac, making strategic and moral decisions to progress through the game, facing consequences for their actions.

Target Audience: Fans of dark fantasy, complex narratives, and challenging puzzle platformers will find this game appealing.

Very cool hand-drawn art (the pixel art was good too).

The lack of sound was a bit odd, and I got stuck very early on. Couldn't jump over a wall.
