- Love the art and the atmosphere of the game, it makes you feel like you are in danger. I would like to see the light being just a little brighter when you just pick up a new light, it's a bit too hard to see, even when you just pick up a light. There are also not a lot of instructions for the game and what you are supposed to do. All in all, great work, keep it up!

Try to escape the forest by gathering transmutation materials in the form of lights that boost your lantern. The crystals are safe, just don't linger around them too long as they will overpower your gathered materials and destroy them! You can transmute the lights you find to upgrade your lantern and travel further. You won't be able to make it without that.
Controls:
Arrow keys/WASD/gamepad LS to move
Gamepad A/X to confirm UI selection
Collect the smaller lights scattered around to add some time to your lantern. Return with these to the pink flame (transmutation flame) to upgrade your lantern and make it last longer. If your lantern goes out the monster can get you.
Stand in the light of the crystals to gain protection from the dark and refill your lantern, but don't linger for too long or some of your lights will be destroyed.
Find the exit to the East and don't die.
The transmute screen does not show the inventory or requirements for upgrading in the browser... super cool. Here are the upgrade requirements, note that it's not required to get all of them to finish the game:
1: Green
2: Blue
3: Green Blue
4: Orange
5: Green Orange
6: Green Blue Orange
7: Purple
8: Blue Orange Purple
I am very very annoyed that they aren't showing up. They work in the downloaded version.

This game has a really cool atmosphere! I just don't really understand how to play it.
Thanks for trying it! The journal entries in the beginning explain the mechanics :). I will update the description with clear, non-diegetic instructions though.
