  • The premise of the game is really interesting. Being able to manipulate the wielder into a light or a dark path while trying to keep the bond you have with them is a clever mechanic. Though, making them chose the darker path seems a lot more difficult than having them chose the light side. The music is fitting and the simple UI design works well! Not to mention, the sword slowly shattering away is a nice touch! I think having a bar or a number would be a little clearer to the player and would also make it more enjoyable for people that like to see number climb. Specifically, for the alignments. A bit of explanation would be in order, as the tutorial only helps half way. It would be a single choice with some guidance, for example: Look, you clicked this option, this is what happened to this stat and this is what happened to your bond because of (insert reason). All in all, really well done! I hope you keep making things!

Yes

Summarise your game!
Decision-making, point-and-click game where you play as a sword pursuing either good or evil by influencing a series of bearers towards the chosen path.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You play as a sentient sword that has the power to influence the choices of those that wield it. You can chose to push them in the direct of good or evil, just be wary of pushing them too hard against their own inclination lest they cast you aside.

This was the first game any of us have made. It was a very fun
and exhausting experience 🙂

Cool use of the theme and overall very well done! It would be great if we got to know the 'bearer' before we get to influence their decisions (though I understand that takes more time.) Congratulations to your first game :)

Thank you!  Yeah, our original ideas involved spending a lot more time with each bearer and that whole system being more involved, but ended up getting rather abbreviated to do scope cuts :)

Interesting take on the theme! It took me a minute to sort out what all the icons (and their sizes) meant. I thought the graphics were all really cohesive. An excellent first game :)

Developer

Thank you so much!  Yeah, in retrospect we should have labeled the icons and made all of that more clear; lessons for next time around :)

Really appreciate you checking it out!
