  • As a lover of both ferrets and roguelike games, this makes me very happy. The art style and music fit perfectly with the style, the game makes me think of Mystery dungeon meets Binding of Isaac, it's charming and good fun. I would love to see improvements in UI, in terms of health bars for the ferrets. The game could also do with a way to heal yourself or the ferrets and maybe some items you could use that would fit the theme. Maybe ferret toys that give buffs? I am very interested to see what you do with this project! Keep making stuff and see you next jam!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
Rougelike where you play as The King Ferret forming a rat king with other ferrets to escape the sewers. You can throw ferrets at enemies or stockpile them to deal ridiculous melee damage!

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
We decided hinging on the idea of being/controlling a rat king that was literally a rat king was really funny, and then we made it ferrets, and we thought being able to use ferrets from the king as the main way to deal damage fit the theme well.

Note: Rat and ferret are interchangeable lol, in the source code there isn't a single mention of ferrets, just rat

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Several 3am nights of coding is bound to lead to bad code, along with starting halfway through the 'jam, so I'm mostly aware of the bad code I wrote, I was focusing more on getting a release than perfect code. Although I still appreciate anything anyone would have to say, we are planning on continuing this project in the future, and making all of our own art for it instead of using an asset pack, but for the purposes of the Game Jam, we did not have enough time for a full array of assets.

Cool idea, the music was great and the sprites were cool... Well done and good luck with the Jam!
