  • This was an awesome submission. The art style and level design were very well done. I loved the animations! The music and sound effects were also great and fit with the theme of the game. Well done overall! The game definitely has a miniature golf feel to it. It would be nice to start adding more challenges as players progress through the different levels, like miniature golf does. It could be something simple like obstacles or moving targets. Just something to add a little more of a challenge. Great job on the submission. I definitely enjoyed playing it. Hope to see you all around in future jams!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
With Jimmy Rocket the first thing we had to think about was locomotion, how does a rocket move? A boost made sense and then we realized it basically works the same as billiards and minigolf, but with explosions! And from that giving resources to the player and making enemies points came into being and so it evolved into a sorta puzzle action game

If the game does not play audio, there is a bug where all audio sliders in the settings menu default to 0. The game has music and audio that were custom made

There's also a bug where momentum may send you directly back, if hitting and angle returns you along your trajectory this is not intended behavior

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
When we heard the theme "You are the weapon" we decided to go literal and went with a rocket as the player character

i liked it, but i wish there was bit more complexity especially with the levels. they feel too similar. the loading screen is pretty cool though
