  • Volume slider!! Love that. Thank you! The story telling was well done. The dialogue for the player/gun was clear and the narration of the gun's creator along the bottom was great placement. In the initial tutorial portion with the three crabs there is no way for me to progress without hitting the crabs. This misled me on what I was supposed to do in the next portion of the game. I believe that section of the tutorial was to show how hitting them makes your health bar go down, but it was confusing to HAVE to hit them in that part to be able to progress. Yet in the main game I was able to progress without hitting them. The scaling of the levels happened too fast for me. If it could be slowed down with less cuties to avoid to start with and then adding a few more and more that would be better progression wise. I really want a way to restart at the actual level rather than restarting at the tutorial portion. I would also love a way to make the dialogue go faster. There is so much great with this game! The audio design and level design, overall game art style was meshed together so well. This fit the theme of the game jam and I really loved being a compassionate gun that didn't want to hit the cute animals. This is a good challenging puzzle game and a great demo! Thank you for your submission to the game jam and I hope you keep working on this.

Summarise your game!
UR-041 is a short puzzle-type game where you have to shoot your way to the end without killing too many monsters.
The player controls a weapon in a testing facility for newly created weapons. There the player has to hit targets that look like creatures only to find out that hitting those creature targets will drain the weapon’s power until the weapon becomes useless. So the goal of the player will be to not to hit any creature and “failing” the tests.
Controls:
Keyboard: WASD and SPACE + E and ESC

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
It’s a simple interpretation of the theme: you are a weapon in a testing facility that will have to behave unlike a typical weapon.
