Had me laughing out loud! The sound design and humor in this was a riot! 10/10 game jam game, hilarious and inspiring, I'll bet you had a blast making this one. Love artwork and game design. :)

Thanks so much DucketyDuck! Seems like the how to play needs a few additional lines explaining some concepts of the game and how the meeple make decisions.
Appreciate your feedback, thanks for playing!

Baba is You was one of our main artistic influences, happy to hear it reads that way! Thanks for chiming in Malarpuppet!

Much appreciated ChXris! Definitely some learning curve, we got so used to playing as we made it we overlooked a few things in the how to play description. Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi Grantlerr! Thanks for the comment :)
The sword room only kills meeple that try to loot it, if they have full treasure they won't try to interact with the sword and will ignore it. We didn't make that obvious in how to play, but will add it to the game description, good catch!

Woah! What a stark and interesting game. The mechanics you created have some real potential in a full featured game. I imagine so many situational aspects where your wielder's attributes could matter, like size and shape and sentience etc.
Having the other creatures shift in color as you approach them was a nice touch too!
Nice game concept, I really enjoyed the experience!

Amazing level of detail and polish on this! Super cool to see something like this made for a jam. The player controls are snappy and the hit boxes are really tight, amazing that your team managed all this in just two weeks. Really incredible! Did you have all the assets built ahead of time or were they made for the jam?

I did get stuck inside the tilemap at one point dashing into a wall, I imagine the collision shapes deformed during a dash or something and ended up getting stuck in this exterior corner.

So much charm to this submission, I really enjoyed the non-traditional inputs as a way of moving and attacking. Balancing the mouse pointer and key sequences makes for a fun experience. Really cute artwork and design, well done!

Hi! I want to play your game but it's not publicly accessible!

Nice sound effects and concept! When the horde of vikings came I swung my sword as fast as I could but they broke through. Very surprising way to end haha!

Wow, wow, wow! What a finely tuned game jam game! From the interface design to the punchy minigames this feels super polished.  The minigames are straightforward and varied enough not to feel too repetitive. The knights minigame is tough, got me more than a few times. Excellent job!

I played this one for a while, really solid mechanics and game design! I found myself getting stuck in certain places and having to roll my way back to an ammo pack but you did say the game was hard! The gun sound effects are really nice, feels powerful! I love the humor in the intro, nice game submission :)

Lovely artwork and theme! The diving mechanic is fun to try and time just right. I found myself wanting some way to see the hills when I'm high in the air. It feels more up to luck than anything whether the slopes align just right for a good jump. Nice work :)

Thanks for the feedback JSpeak, we wanted to show off the meeps more and the information we display on the bottom shows how many souls the meep is worth when they die and get absorbed by the sword. The treasure icons also show how much treasure the meep has collected and when they collect their max treasure they leave the dungeon.

The treasure is admittedly a more subtle mechanic that we didn't explain too well.
Appreciate the comment I'll try out your game when I'm able!

How cool! What a fun and unique game, really stands out in the jam. It's got great asset and level design, a fun soundtrack and a genuinely fun set of game mechanics that are a tad tough to learn but really effective once you get the hang of them! Great work on this, I'll be following you for sure!

Nice concept and fun execution!

Really awesome game design! Loved the user interface, quite charming. The star field and atmospheric sounds are very immersive. Nice stuff! Followed!

Really cool game concept! Really love the scoring system and the art and style of the game is really unique. Awesome execution!

Really well designed and fun to play puzzle action game! This is the perfect game jam game in my opinion!
Impressive with how many levels you managed to produce. Also nice to see another Godot game using the experimental NavigationAgent, we used it in our game too. How did you like using it?

Thanks Curbside! Great feedback, we played around with a few ideas for meep movement in the early stages. Tetris previews were brought up more than once, funny you had the same thought. :)

Appreciate your kind words!

Thanks TableToppler, my buddy LeafMotif made the background audio and I agree, the track adds a lot to the atmosphere!

Thanks for playing Morra, we had a lot of fun tuning the game-play and originally had a much bigger grid size but found it to be too chaotic.
We did have concerns with the font at some points but decided to keep it to fit the aesthetic, I'd definitely make the font more legible if I ever add more to the game. Appreciate you sticking it out and finding a fun way to play!

Love the pixel art and controls. Fun to play and cool it plays on gameboy! Will have to download to my emulator and try it out on my Miyoo Mini. Nice work!

Fun game with unique gameplay! With the changes to shape detection I'd play this for a long time.
Really like the idea that the more shapes you draw the better the drawings on the screen become.

Hi there folks!

I've just released a game jam game and am looking for folks to give it a quick play-through. Should only take a few minutes to beat and I would love to hear your feedback, comments, and critiques!

The gameplay looks like shifting around a set of dungeon room tiles to trap and reap the souls of meeps (little critters) aiming to collect 99 souls. There's sound effects, background music, and some simple ai pathfinding that makes each meep a little different, so learning how they operate and what they prioritize in the dungeon is key to winning!

This game was made in just 2 weeks for the recently wrapped up Pirate Game Jam by myselfand my developer friend LeafMotif, we call ourselves Lace Games.

Here's the game, playable in browser on desktop and it even kind of work on android devices in browser. Hope you enjoy!

Nice artwork and storytelling, the card are creatures are awesome! I really appreciate a good card game and this has some real potential!
Cards having all four suits is something I've never seen before and was an interesting take. Thanks for fixing the access.

Cute entry! Once I got used to how fast the slime moved I made it past a few goblins. Love the artwork and background music and sfx!

Love the animations and different powers! Such a cool submission, nice work! The audio and dynamic background music works so well. Fantastic jam submission!

Wow! Nice work on the level art, gorgeous! Reminds me of playing Rayman as a kid!

Hilarious plot line! This had me cracking up! Thanks for the laughs :)

Nice work! Had a fun time burning down the house. Gotta love some random generation!

Cute artwork!

Cool shooter, love the colors!

Had a fun time, got stuck when talking to the rune woman. The sprite assets are really nice, loved the tongue in cheek dialogue. What is the wiggle rune supposed to do? I couldn't seem to get it to work.

Heya! This entry isn't accessible. Wanted to play but couldn't since the page is inaccessible.

Fantastic interpretation of the theme, loved the artwork and intro. Gameplay is unique, was pleasantly surprised to accidentally fry my own crops with the laser beam. So much packed into this submission, really great job!

Wow, the visual humor in this is great, made me laugh out loud.
Nicely put together and great game mechanics. Fun submission, loved it!

Fun bullet hell! I enjoyed the game mechanic of swinging the sword with the mouse and the art assets are nicely made. Would love to play a full version.

Thanks a ton MassterMax, that's really kind! We had a great time putting it all together.

Nice game! The 3d pixelated graphics are cool! I enjoyed the power up system and stationary 3rd person shooter feeling. Great work on this!
