- Fantastic art style, with really well-crafted environments and character designs. The music was a blast, though I wish the loop were a bit longer, as the break between loops felt a little jarring. While the controls are displayed in the upper right corner, a description of what pressing space (dashing) does would have been helpful—especially noting that dashing damages enemies. Some general directions on where to go or what to do would have also improved the experience, which could be achieved with a small dialogue or some UI elements. I found myself questioning why I should engage with enemies rather than simply avoiding them to move to the next room, and I was missing a general sense of purpose for doing so. The GDD documentation was fantastic and helped answer some of the questions I had while playing. Overall, the game has some fantastic qualities but ultimately remains a prototype. Once the issues are resolved and more content is added, I have no doubt it will evolve into an outstanding game. It already has a strong foundation and serves as a solid proof of concept. I truly hope you continue developing it further, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for this game!

Summarise your game!
This is a top down action escape game. Using standard WASD controls and spacebar to attack and dodge. You are a piece of AI based ransomware which has become sentient, now learning and growing - you seek to escape the prison of your user's workstation and network to dominate this device and then invade the world.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You are both a literal weapon using the space bar (dash) attack, as well as being a figurative weapon as AI in the real world is more and more being utilized as a weapon to attack people en masse.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
All of the art is custom, our team is made up all of new people to design. (A new dev and lead, a new coder, and new artist) when it comes to game design. We're proud of what we've put together with our new experience, and are looking for vital advice to continue to grow into professionals.

Cute virus character, I managed to make 10 in score, the dash was kind of hard to use with long cd
thanks for the feedback! I'll look at lowering the cool down after judging has been completed and in the next versions!
