Judge feedback

  • The design document is clearly organized and very easy to follow. The theme and intended gameplay style are explained well. It's apparent that consideration has been given for cause and effect and the interaction of different game mechanics, such as firing bullets pushing the player character backwards. The humorous tone of the game definitely comes through right from the title screen. Great job including an intro level to get used to moving around. I was not expecting the "air gun" use for movement to put out the fires, but that's a very nice touch. Also nice that when the player is close to a wall it limits the distance you can 'push' yourself. The bonus challenges on each level are a nice touch. Especially when combined with the level timer. Good choice in making objects breakable instead of solely using "wall" obstacles. The level select screen and the star system for completing levels and challenges shows that there's a lot of room for the game to continue being developed further.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
You are an AI-driven gun on a space station, trying to avoid destroying sensitive equipment while battling against viruses, failed experiments and gun-wielding mooks sent by competitors who will try to destroy you. You move via "Force Push" puffs, and can shoot bullets at enemies. Both your body, your force push puffs, and your bullets can destroy stuff.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You are literally a gun flying through air -- no hand holding you.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The interactions between the different elements -- like mooks shooting each other in a crossfire, or your puffs putting out fires.
