  • GDD: GDD seems good. Good with the images in concept section. However add some ingame art in the art section to give the readers a better understanding of the game style. Good to add the development timeline as it showcases transparency of the game's state and progress. If I had to nitpick more; use more descriptions in game mechanics section. Game: The game feels little bit buggy, but that is to expected. The character stand still, but the landscape "moved" after awhile, which makes it a odd moment. The roguelike mechanic feels good as it persists during the runs. It would be nice if the game has like tooltip on the heart, bomb and sword. The scaling of the bones requirement is too high after some costs. Like one of the cost went from 99 bones to 1028 bones! Bug: * One of the upgrade are marked as null after 9 cost upgrades

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
The undead hordes of the lonely necromancer have had enough and wish to rest in peace. With the help of goblin hero Mulch, they cobble together their bones and spare parts to upgrade the ultimate weapon to take down the necromancer and find eternal peace.
Use the mouse to upgrade the sword in the shop, before

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Using parts of your own bodies (as the undead horde) to make a weapon (you are the weapon) to strike down your controlled breathen for them to join the weapon and defeat the necromancer.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
We made EVERYTHING (except fonts) during the jam, by ourselves, from scratch! SFX, visuals, code. All done in the limited time we had! If there's anything in particular you like, we would love to hear about it!

Good job for the small amount of time you guys had! I had a good time playing. Game is a little buggy tho lol (understandably so)

As for feedback, the "Grossness" upgrade broke after the 9 cost one for me, it just set to <null> for the price. The sword power up, which I assume increases your power, isn't temporary. I could spam them and it persists between runs, I got my power bar to full without buying all the upgrades. The HP powerup didn't feel very impactful, but it is also spammable and stacks on top of your HP, I didn't get to test if it also persisted between runs. Also when I won it felt pretty anti-climactic, I got further than I did when I won in previous runs so I don't know why I even won
