This game is really good ! I like how you managed to integrate the gameplay into the narration. There were meaningful choice to make during the whole game and that is great.

Just one suggestion: use color differently. Indeed the value of each block is not very intuitive. Maybe use a gradient

Thanks so much! Yeah, I didn't pay too much mind to which colors were which values. I'd definitely take a harder look at that if I keep working on this game (and I'd also want to make a color-blind mode so things are more accessible).

Well framed and written, and the puzzle works well, it has that tetrisy feel to it. I really like that I didn't have to change layouts for it as well :D

I did continually get confused by the controls. I tried to keep using the same hand. Maybe shift+direction to slide instead of a duplicate directional set would feel more natural.

Thank you for the feedback and kind words! (A fellow Dvorak-user, it sounds like?)

Yeah, I wasn't completely sold on double-directional as the control scheme but, with a little time, I got pretty used to it. Something like shift-direction was something I did consider but never took time to mess around with. I do think adding some sliding animation to the tiles would go a long way towards helping with this but I just didn't quite get there this weekend.

Really nice entry. One of the best i yet checked. Nice innovation. My rate: 4/5.
