Good job Lucy, I enjoyed your poetry. I think your flow often parallels the feelings that you are portraying, and the images add a great style to the mix. My favorite is VISION / EMOTION because the quick, disoriented observations pair perfectly with the feeling of "my heart pounds in my ears" that I can so easily imagine. I also enjoy the two CRISIS poems. If you wanna check out my work, I'd greatly appreciate feedback as well :)

"Secrets" by LucyStripes (twitter/instagram). She's described it as "an angry girl muses about the color red, annoys her peers, gets involved in some dangerous shit, wears a cool outfit, and screams." The layout is very sleek and clean and based around white, grey, black, and photography. It has a magazine feel to it, which is actually interesting when paired with the seriousness of the subject matter and that the author is a teenager. It's nine pages long and all about capturing a very specific story and mental state. I'm really glad she's shared it.

[tw: blood, being spied on, guns, guilt, depression, medication, violence]

"soft iron in your mouth raw meat inching closer to the fireplace patch of skin against a saucepan my heart pounds in my ears"

i liked this chapbook a lot, esp. in how the photos worked with the poems. my favorite poem was “II.” – i think that there are a number of traumas/traumatic things that we don’t discuss because they’re so commonplace, and the increase in surveillance/weaponization of the state is one of them. the simplicity of the poem emphasizes the dread.

this means so much coming from you, your chapbook is incredible!
