Got sucked in for an hour. Really good little game.
The dungeon generation tool seems pretty neat from the clips you showed. Nice thing about your tool is that you can generate anything from dungeons to roads. Hope you finish it eventually! Nothing available to review but at least there was a preview of prototype.
The overall music and color scheme add to the overall anticipation of moving around. I certainly did not expect to feel vertigo navigating more into the labyrinth. Every time I caught a glimpse of the sky I felt like I was going to the correct path to escape. I will admit I felt a rewarding to just see the sky. But when all I would see are the walls and water I knew I anticipated a dead end. I ended up making it out to the left side of the labyrinth then I went back to the pyramid. Definitely kept me playing for the mere fact that I just wanted to escape the procedurally generated labyrinth.
The intro to being a skipper on SS Groundhog sounded amazing up until I read the part about it not being finished. Alas I shall have to leave the "consequences to my successor." I would have really liked to review your game.
Definitely like your idea of creating a procedural tool that can generate myriad of insects. Based on the screenshots/mp4 the DNA sequence is indistinguishable but it was nice that you varied the color pattern for each. The mp4 was helpful to view but there was nothing to actually test out so I cant provide more feedback.
