Interesting start! I included it in my Retro Remake Jam compilation video, if you’d like to take a look! :)

I'm not able to play because I have a old computer, but I see the video, and I like this idea to make like a Mario plateformer, and the render textures are so good, shame that I'm not able to play. Good work.

Oh, yea, I guess it will run its best on a fairly modern computer, and thanks!

Fun idea! Sort of like Mirror's Edge trapped in an 80s platformer. Felt like it needed to be faster and less floaty, maybe try increasing the gravity. But yeah, nice entry, and the music's well done too.

Developer

Well, the gravity is also a bit floaty in the original that I remade, hence the gravity as it is.. Glad you liked the music and idea..

Sadly I was unable to play this game. Once started it took 5 minutes to get to the play area and then it jerked at a rate of 1 frame every 3 seconds. A popup did eventually appear saying low FPS detected and I managed to eventually change from high setting to low, but even that wouldn`t allow me to play it. Shame, its probally a nice idea and nice game, I just couldn`t play it. Nice music tho.

Developer

I actually encountered a similar problem in the making, the low fps (almost crash) thingy, but I thought I had solved it for all parties/computers.. Oh well, back to game maker studio I guess!! And I'm glad you could at least hear the music, but damn!

You can see how it is supposed to run here tho, btw...

Its a shame it didn't run, that video looks like it could have been fun. I've just uninstalled all my drivers for my graphic card and reinstalled them so I`ll give it another go, see if that helps.
