What was the origin story?
Hey there, my name is Christopher, and I am the solo developer behind Purpose.

I originally started Purpose way back in October of 2021, with the intention of writing multiple chapters, having all these different features, etc., etc. Unfortunately, the scope of the project (which was my first game) quickly caught up with me, and I stopped work after finishing Chapter one in December of 2021.

During the Jam I have fixed all the game-breaking bugs, touched up the story (and spelling 💀), significantly improved the load times, and improved the development workflow.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy the game!

Great story, fully immersed!

I have not played a lot of such games. I would say that it was a very good experience. The game was extremely polished and the storyline was also pretty good. The main menu was super user friendly and the use of all the  UI was amazing.(I wish you would have added some good ambient sounds too though🥲)

However, it did start to feel like it was a bit long and I feel like you could have made it a bit shorter since it is just for a game jam.

Overall, really good game and I would love to see you make more of these in the future.

"Hello there, general Kenobi!" (llФwФ`)

That was a really good interactive novel! Really good story and I genuinely enjoyed it. A lot longer than I thought a game jam game would be, which is a good thing!

I did a visual novel for this too but with Ren'Py, I have used Twine before tho, it's pretty fun. Good job!
