Complex -- I'm not really sure how this would play out in practice, but the bones look really good. The double-blind technique reveal really captures the feel of 1v1 fighting games, and the variety of different ways to customize your character covers a LOT of ground.
I also really appreciate the frankness that this is mostly a 1v1 fighting engine, and only secondarily a "standard" tabletop RPG; It really helps set expectations and allows me to meet the game on its own terms.
