Pricing and republishing question

The main jam page is unclear about whether you'll be compiling the text of all submissions into a big hexcrawl, or just a sentence or two as overview, with a link to the relevant itch release for that hex.

It's also unclear about whether you expect submissions to be free/pwyw, free just for the duration of the jam (so creators can check out each other's work, or whether attaching a minimum price is OK.

To be clear, I'm fine with answers that require giving away my work for free. e.g. everyone's submissions could be put into an itch bundle and sold at a bulk discount, perhaps with proceeds going to charity, Or if they're compiled into a single document you publish, I'm fine with that being set to $0, or sold to raise money for charity. I just want to know what to expect, going into the jam.

Great, question! This is my first time hosting a Jam and hadn't thought that much about it! Thank you so much!

The main jam page is unclear about whether you'll be compiling the text of all submissions into a big hexcrawl, or just a sentence or two as overview, with a link to the relevant itch release for that hex.

The Combined World map will include "name of hex", link to original and author.

It's also unclear about whether you expect submissions to be free/pwyw, free just for the duration of the jam (so creators can check out each other's work, or whether attaching a minimum price is OK.

I think PWYW makes the most sense while the Jam is live, after however I'd say do whatever you'd like. Then again, min price is totally fine, it'll still be a part of the whole. (I'll be buying them all)

Just joined itch.io for this (I really wanted to join anyway for my adventures that still need translation from German to English) but maybe we can get something cool compiled too. It’s a bit more work, but would be really cool for the community I guess. Having a Zine as result of this Jam.

Maybe it’s something to consider for MoreMausritterMay and after having the initial experience of this jam :)

I love the idea of a massive CoLab zine kinda like MÖRK BORG does... I am thinking of running these Jams in the off months of Bernpyle, maybe we will birth another Mausritter zine too!!!

That would be awesome. The Knock Zine and Gauntlet’s Codex show how this could work. Seems to have some kind of “core” team for doing layoutsy stuff, but gather content could be done via Jams I guess :)

Cool, that's what I thought was most likely, the jam description was just a bit vague.

...incidentally, I would be open to including whatever I make in a charity bundle. Depending on the cause, of course.
