Piano Staccato Is Cool
Description
This piece was written in Romanian minor scale (aka Ukrainian Dorian) with a root note of C, a shit load of accidentals as well as a key change in there somewhere. Even though this is based in a mode of a modern diatonic scale I focused on making the piece feel more "exotic" through a large quantity of augmented, diminished, and dissonant chords (with some additives and extensions clearly).
Also the last section from 2:46 onwards switches from the swing waltz rhythm to a much quicker, and intense sense just to drive home the track's conclusion as well as a way to subvert the listeners expectations (when compared to everything heard previously).
