Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Thank you for the feedback!

This is like the second time I have done a jazz piece so I am unfamiliar with all the intricacies. Your input is very nice for future reference!

I really hope I’ll be able to study music theory and stuff like this because learning stuff like that is super interesting!

Thank you so much!

I’m glad you liked the panning! I wanted a call and response thing going on in several areas like the melody and bass and the horns panning.

Thank you!

The voices were really cool! Which library did you use that had those?

The guitar part was excellent! I liked when it was introduced with the fast notes that was my favorite part!

This absolutely sounds like it would play as an enemy encounter theme in a game like OMORI. I wish it were longer since its so good!

I see it says you performed it manually! That is a really cool way to make a song and I respect it! I have to play something like 20 times before I decide if I like it or not so live recording what I play myself would be difficult for me so props!

I DO in fact like to click (:

IDK when it looped but I got to 600 clicks before it looped I'm pretty sure!

I got so excited when I saw the name Spooky battle but ironically it felt more cheery than most other entries I heard!

The beginning build up was my favorite part.

The pads were very soothing and I liked how you transformed the motif!

I loved the way it felt improvised like music you would hear in real life at a Jazz club very cool!

The synths reminded me so much of monkey ball!

When the keys came in I grinned wide! It reminded me of persona in combination with the bass guitar!

When the percussion started movin I started movin! I think if it were longer it would be even better!

The watery way the notes fade out was really cool!

I have not played Grim Fandango but my dad has and I have always wanted to get into point and click adventure games they fascinate me!

I would especially love to compose for one!

Thank you!

I wasn't sure I was gonna participate but Saturday morning I had time so I went for it!

Made the name of the song last minute so I could upload the youtube video with a title lol.

Thanks for listening!

Ah I see. Yes I did stretch it a bit far mostly because of the jazzy swing feel I went for. I wanted something that would stand out and I thought a swing rhythm would do the trick plus I wanted to practice writing swing more as well.

The unique time signature I'm sure made the motif harder to work with so props!

I really liked the percussion like the cowbell they made the track feel very cool IDK how to describe it exactly but I liked it!

I gather from your picture that this is probably made using those tools?

I am impressed by people who can figure that stuff out however this track with the intense panning to either ear started to get grating.

The counter melody was super well done and probably my favorite part since it was a nice call and response with the motif!

I love hearing little snippets of the motif all throughout the track it makes the whole thing feel very cohesive and well put together!

I liked how the motif felt like it was kind of a background instrument sometimes it gave a cool effect!

The part that starts at 45 seconds reminds me of Diddy Kong Racing and I adore the xylophone you used it sounds so unique and cool!

Thank you!

I didn't want the motif to be over the entire song because then it feels out of place IMO. Having unique sections outside of the motif is important to make the motif stand out is a key aspect of making the song flow nicely I think.

Can I ask what you mean by "stretched it a bit too far"?  like is it the length of the song or something else? just wondering.

The low strings were epic and I like when it became a march with the snare!

I wish that it had gotten even more intense before the calmer section!

The drop was great and I liked your panning work!

WAIT! is this just a double remix of Never gonna give you up and the Ace Attorney lobby theme using Ace Attorney sampled instruments!!!???!

Very cool!

I quite enjoyed the way instruments would echo! This track was a great vibe! Also the xylophone was great!

I liked the halfway point when the quiet arpeggios came in they gave a nice texture to the song!

I like how even though the time signature didn't change it sounded like it did sometimes due to the odd syncopation it was a really cool effect!

I think you did explore it right! changing the timings and notes in interesting ways to make the motif unique to your entry! I also liked the layering of the motif!

I liked all your instruments but I think more could have been done with the motif. It is very clearly there but I wish you had played with it more since it just plays basically the same thing every other measure.

Toy around with the pitch, the syncopation. Make the motif work for you rather than you working for the motif.

I actually love your take on the motif! It was unique but still very recognizable which is more interesting to me! I also like how varied the dynamics were!

This sounds like it could fit well on an NES megaman OST!

I liked the way the song crescendos but it never felt like it reached a climax due to the tracks short length. It was very nice sounding though!

Looks like the youtube link doesn't work properly here it is so you don't have to download it!
