I like Meaty, especially the theme of using enemy warriors as body parts, it's great! I think it's my favorite super warrior fanfaction
Thanks, that means a lot coming from you! I really like your Koala-Casino and Beaverlopers :)
Powers might need some optimization/tweaking, maybe you have some ideas?
Some very interesting and creative ideas going on here, though I worry that the zombie gaining and losing abilities rather quickly might lead to some analysis paralysis / confusion on your enemies turns "which/how many at active again" type questions feel like they would happen on almost every person's turn (something I ran into with ooze, and they gain in lose abilities far slower than it feels like these guys would). I do think that it's a little unclear that you can still place body parts on him while he is removed from the map. I do wonder how scoring went in playtests, it seems like it would be very feast or famine
Hiya! Yeah, the idea is that, as per berry ability, Sacrificial nature, you can "build" Meaty using normal battles - only when he's off-board. I need to add that clarification. when on-board Meaty can only regenerate using Eat action. As for 4-hand playtest, they ended up at 24pts, rats won with 30, while Host of Light was at 26pts. Woodland alliance ended up last with 15pts. More tests to come :)
Big points for creativity and concept. Bag/programming concept got me excited just reading through it! The scoring mechanism, especially combined with the body parts that give profound advantages in combat, seems like it might not be the most fun to play against, but the base ideas here are superb, great work!
Honestly I've been looking through it and this concept is super creative! Hard to believe this is just one of these factions you've cooked for us.
The body parts and their abilities are really fascinating, some might be more overturned than others, but I think it's all up to play testing to figure out which.
I also enjoy the way he's placed on the map, and itll be interesting to see how they fit into the dynamic of root.
Honestly not much to criticize without putting them to the test in a game scenario, very well done!
Meaty fanclub!
