We had a total of 46 participants in this year's edition of RPGenesis. However, we only have 6 submissions. As such, I would like to get some feedback from the people who joined the jam but ended up not submitting an entry.

What made you not submit your entry? Could you not get started for some reason? Did you start your game but were unable to finish it? If so, why? Did life just get in the way? Did you lack the inspiration/ideas on what to write? Or was it something else? What do you think held you back?

Your feedback is welcome and it might be used to improve future editions of this jam.

Thank you.

i ended up leaving the jam because i knew i wasn't going to get my entry in—i started a new job somewhat recently and expected to have the downtime during my training to write, which i mostly did, but my work computer blocked google docs lmao... ultimately despite having a really solid idea i was just too busy to really get anything going!!

I had an idea that took me two days to investigate before I realized it was too big for such a challenge.

When I finally got back on track, with a different idea, it was already too late to write 5k words.

I had a few other games already in development, but for jams like this, I like to start from scratch. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it.

I started my magnum opus, didn't finish it, decided to submit it anyways, realized I had to reformat the whole thing after exporting it from the program it was in, and then submitted it too late.
