Started the match and immediately kicked the ball into my own goal.

The whole vibe reminded me of earn to die and other zombie android games which was a nostalgia trip. Very fun and interesting game and the AI makes it much more addictive and entertaining!

Thanks for playing!  I've never heard of Earn to Die, might have to look it up :D

Cute little game, I like the aesthetic. I like that you were able to implement AI for both teams but wish I could see a little more than having them all group up at the ball. This made it hard to tackle when another AI would just immediately take the ball since they're all stacked on top of it. Still great regarding the time constraint!

Thanks for playing!  Yeah, I know what you mean about everybody being bunched up.  My initial plan for the AI was to make the defender walk around in the back by the goalie and for the 3 attackers, they were supposed to give a lot more space to each other and pass the ball around, but I didn't get the AI started on moving until Sunday night like 4 hours before the deadline.  Right now the defender in the back just tackles if the enemy comes near them or kicks if you pass them the ball.

This was a fun and simple game! I really like the zombie version of Nintendo World Cup. I am really interested in playing this again if you ever go back and add in the local multiplayer!

Thanks for playing!  We were a bit overwhelmed trying to make most of this in the ~48 hours we had.  We have only done one other actual jam before this one, but that was 10 days so we had 2 weekends to work on it.  This time around, the lack of time during the work week was a real killer.  There are so many other game ideas/projects we have in mind and we're working on a 3D puzzle game as well, so I'm not sure how long it will be before we can circle back to this.

Corrected most of the game breaking bugs that I was aware of.  Current Known Issue:  Goalies don't block the ball. I will try to see if I can get that fixed easily.

Hey all!  We barely made it under the wire to have a playable game.  There are some notable bugs which we will try to fix by tomorrow.   We didn't get a chance to finish implementing passing so when you (YOUR TEAM) has the ball if you right click it will pass to the mouse position.

If you kick the ball from too far away, it can be caught by the Goalie and there's no code to make the goalie kick, pass or anything and the goalie can't be tackled, so they'll never drop the ball.

Also when testing, I did find that sometimes the animations were paused in the middle so the players ended up sideways or something when interrupted.  That's mostly cosmetic (I think!)

We really didn't get started until Thursday evening/Friday.  Osmicow did work on coloring/editing the human sprites from the HorrorCity sprite pack the first few days which took much longer than we anticipated.
