This was a fun idea! I quite like TTRPG concepts that are specific and closed, rather than really open-ended. The overall plot, pacing and ending are already mapped out, so there's a lot of fun to be had with this game through the GM and player's descriptions and imaginations alone.

It feels like one risk playing this game would be that the player has quite a lot of power, in that they can make very drastic changes to the rooms! I feel like if I was playing this game I would be tempted to come up with really straightforward solutions to the traps (for example, getting rid of the water in the piranha room), which would make the game pretty short! It feels like some of the traps avoid this problem by being less easy to understand right away - I thought the dark room full of razor webs was a great idea, for example.

Overall I thought there were some good ideas in this, and with the right combination of player and GM this game could turn into a real battle of wits. Well done!

I will give the traps a work over for sure! I also plan to in the future come up with a sheet or two of more potential traps to be used. Thanks so much!

This is a devilish idea that combines SAW-esque concepts with roleplaying mechanics. My favorite thing is the latitude given to dream up cruel rooms or solutions on both ends - but there is always a price to the player. I think that this could be really fun with an imaginative group. I think the only feedback I can give is, like Chiligoat noted, there is some need to adapt on the GMs part and fill in the blanks based upon what secrets/responses the players give. I think this a a really neat idea!

Thanks for submitting BloodType to the SCREAM MACHINE jam!

Premise is interesting, reminiscent of Bluebeard's Bride in its room-to-room playstyle, but could use a little bit more polish; especially in wrapping things up! This primarily because at the beginning of the GM sheet [spoilers ahead for those who've yet to read up] the GM is told to ask the player what horrible thing they've done, something like a murder. They might run with something else. However the end takes for granted that they've gone with murder.

Other than this it's a solid foundation for a fun game! A typewriter was not the first kind of machine that sprang to mind, so definite points for an original pick :D

I like the concept of the odd/even dice and i really enjoy escape games. I haven't played D&D much so Im interested in how to design the traps etc.

If you come up with any cool ideas for traps, feel free to post them up here!

As I am currently alone during the lockdown in our country, I am unable to play this. Premise seems interesting.  Might try with someone over  video chat and give better feedback than this.  Fear factor in this will depend very much on who you play with.  Non D&D type friends would probably not enjoy this.  Sorry if this feedback is inadequate, but always hard to judge multiplayer games for Jams

Thanks! It was definitely written with DnD style role-players in mind, so hopefully it will. :)
