This had a promising start, but I just couldn't get it. I collected the shovel, and that was about as far as I progressed. I thought maybe I was supposed to bury the body to free the path to continue on, but I couldn't figure out how to do that.
Yeah, that's exactly what you were supposed to do, but first you have to get the body down.
I figured it was blocking the way, but I couldn't figure out how to get the body down. I tried just grabbing it directly, and breaking the rope with a gunshot or the shovel itself. Eventually I just gave up.
The rope isn't a separate interaction from the body itself. You had the right idea, just you were more clever than I planned for. You should be able to use one of the items on the corpse itself.
This is a cool little game harnessing the AGS engine (?) and telling a story about a slayer's quest to fell the Hart. I like the backstory that you wrote that contextualises the game and gives the narrative some grounding. The monochrome works well atmospherically for an old-fashioned adventure game style. Nice and simple! I think some things to work on would be making the UI/point-and-click a little more intuitive, as there were times where it wasn't clear what/where to click. But persistence prevailed and I'm glad I kept through the forest!
