  • Colors and objects are clear and identifiable Enemy movement is fun to watch I like this game a lot, the movement feels good and the shooting is fun. I kind of got hooked and played it more than other games here When I hold down the spacebar, it’s difficult to know if I’m going to do my bomb or charged shot. Maybe there should be some VFX or color change? I wish that the game would give me a score - even just telling me what level i’ve made it to It is difficult to click the upgrade buttons, Maybe you should be able to do it with keyboard? I would like it if the upgrades were more regular - one per wave, for example. The way it is now, it feels random Since there is no way to heal, I spend most of my time playing defensively instead of aggressively. It would be cool if more enemies were introduced that were more different. Like something that dashes sideways, or shoots slow AOE projectiles or something This has really good audio coverage for a jam game, I’m impressed! There are some mouth sounds but they are totally in the right world. This goes to show that taste and decision making go a long way. The gun sound should not stack when you upgrade to have more bullets. The sound should be on the trigger, not the bullet - stacking the same sound will make things really loud. If we’re going for a retro feel, the music should change when you die - there is a little musical stinger you’ve put into the death sound, and that’s cool. That should be expanded upon. It’s weird to hear the enemy ships shooting when they are offscreen. Maybe they shouldn’t be going so far away anyway, i spend a lot of time waiting for them to come back.
  • Combining Fire/Shield/Charge on the same button is an interesting/engaging mechanic. PowerUps appear to freeze the game on the PopUp screen. Despite being awkward to use the arrow keys for this type of movement, gameplay was still quite addictive.
