  • Really cute colors and voxel art I like the intro splash photo as well ;) The car feels super fun to drive, and it’s kind of hilarious how much better it gets as you level up I love that there’s just a crashed car in front of the DMV, it shows you something about this world ;) It’s pretty hard to see around the boxy rear of the car when you’re trying to pass through the concrete barriers. Maybe the top of the car should be tapered? Or the camera follow should be more elastic? The UI isn’t clear. Maybe the three meters should look different according to what they are? I wish that the concrete barriers and stoplight would move to random positions, or get progressively more difficult. Maybe with more blocks, the layout could change? Like have barriers blocking certain paths. After parking at the DMV, I wish I could progress further I know that engine sounds can be really difficult to finesse. I think that this is well done for a game of this small scope - no gear shifts etc. The music is super cute and fun, I love it. The mix is really good. I might have turned up the car engine sound, but not much. I noticed that if I pass the test, I can still hit the gas, and hear sound I would like to hear squealing brakes if you hit the handbrake at a high speed It wouldn’t hurt to give the traffic light some sound. Like a nice “bing!” when it turns green.
  • Unresponsive controls (especially at the start) feels somewhat intentional (like QWOP?) and actually adds to the gameplay. Custom song adds a lot to the overall experience. Art, although simplistic, is very well executed.
  • An enjoyable wee game that's well encapsulated and understood the constraints of a game jam. Frustratingly fun.

Description
Level up your way to finally getting your drivers license. Music recorded on Mike's epic sax and Dom's killer guitar. Arrows to move space to brake. You must complete traffic light, barriers and parking in one run to win. I created a bug fix update that fixes the leveling so you actually get to hear the final song. I didn't want to punish the musicians for my bad programming. Level 1 = simple version of song, Level 2 = medium version of song, Level 3+ = epic version of song. I also included the mp3 of the epic version of the song because I love it :-)
