I also owe you all a heartfelt apology 😅—things have been incredibly hectic on my end lately. Between finalizing multiple publishing contracts, rushing to prepare game marketing plans, and managing community operations (all at once! 🏃♀️💨), I haven’t been able to release this feedback as promptly as I had hoped. I’m really sorry for keeping you waiting and deeply appreciate your patience and understanding. 🙏
💗Common Observations Across All Games
After reviewing all the submissions, I noticed a few key challenges that many games had in common:
- Long-term Expansion Potential While short playtime works well for demos, many games lacked clear paths for expanding into full-length experiences. For a commercial project, the ability to grow beyond a prototype is critical. While Game Jams are about creativity and fun, keep in mind that scalability is vital for market success.
- Unique Artistic Style A distinct and polished art style can make a huge difference in a game’s market appeal. It helps attract attention, improves visibility, and can even become the defining characteristic of a game. Investing in cohesive visuals—whether it’s pixel art, hand-drawn aesthetics, or a unique minimalistic approach—can significantly elevate your project’s potential.
These are areas where refining your work could bring your projects closer to being market-ready. Let’s keep pushing forward! 🚀
