  • Hi! First off, I love the way this game looks! I'm also glad you made a rhythm game! Now for improvement, this could be something on my end but also may be on yours. The timing felt really precise and hard to get down. It could have been my hardware. Monitors affect timing. Certain input devices do too. I play a lot of rhythm games, as you can tell haha. I also do feel like it could have benefited from an arrow in the center telling me which keys to press. What you did give was kinda hard to see, but it was also still so hard to press keys on time because of how quick and precise you had to be. But it's not the end of the world! Polish it a bit and publish that build. It's a decent Vinesauce fan game and I'm glad you submitted it!

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
It's a rhythm game with mechanics based on corruptions

I like this one a lot! The visuals are neat and tackling a rhythm game during a game jam is a hard feat, but I thought it was executed well. The difficulty was a little hard imo, but other than that this was a cool game.

I don't have much rhythm game experience, but I found this game a bit frustrating; I felt like I was getting dinged for prompts I correctly responded to. Maybe it's an issue with telegraphing, and giving the player a clearer indication of exactly how they messed up a prompt would help? I have a hunch that my problem relates to timing, and I think giving the player some extra feedback could help.

When my prompt feels like it's graded correctly, though, I find it quite fun and satisfying. The art is pretty nice, too!

Thanks for the feedback!!! I actually also don't have much experience with rhythm games haha. I just said why not and tried my best. Timing should be ok I think, but yeah, showing on the screen when the player is too late, too early or presses the wrong button is a good idea
