What was the reference used for the image creatures can get that have the "EA" in it? Was it from a manga panel?

Developer(+1)

Haha, it's an old picture of one of my friends when he was on his high school football team. I took the picture and distorted it, overlayed it onto the original, made it black-and-white, and then started chopping up pieces of it to obfuscate any identifiable characteristics. The "EA" is just part of the team's name: the "Eagles."

I really liked this game! It took me a while to figure out you could actually use some of the abilities with space, but I enjoyed figuring out what the bits meant. I got 88 wins with the loadout below before a scrambler changed everything. I still won the fight against the scrambler, but I didn't realize the stats would change forever, so lost shortly after. Cool idea!

Holy crap, 88 is insane! I think the furthest I got in playtesting was around 60!

Thank you so much for playing it! Really appreciate all the feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I definitely regret not spending more time refining the abilities -- both in terms of balance but also the UX. It didn't cross my mind that the enemy could mess up an entire run by using the scrambler ability since it doesn't reset!
