Feels like anime, but the guys are charming and the MC personality I love that. The story is good too it's interesting I have a soft spot for reincarnation thrope lol. And I really love Kael gosh he is perfect and Branman that guy I want u sir. Overall I love it good job 😊💖
Thank you ursweettalks!!
Have you heard about otome games as a game genre? They are usually games with anime art styles where you can date male (sometimes female) love interests:)
And I’m so happy to hear you like these characters! Due to time constraints of the game jam, I wasn’t able to develop the game to its full potential, but I’m planning to work on a remastered version of it in the future, that will also include giving more depth for Brannan <3
Again thanks so much for your feedback!! 💕
Summertown Romance!
The custom-drawn CGs looked absolutely amazing. I really like the character designs. I can tell that you took great care to find some fitting music that enhanced the mood.
Kael's childlike wonder and enthusiasm were so cute and really won me over. I enjoyed the friendship between April and Cora. I think Brannan might be quite an interesting Character. Funny enough, I picked his route first, because I was excited for the cult stuff. Kael felt like more like the main route though, as we spent more time with him and that Kiss CG was amazing. I felt like it was a bit of a personal happiness vs (possibly) greater good choice and that made it interesting.
Thank you for making this game.
Thank you Mondlicht! Your comment made my day!
You definitely nailed the idea of the game🥰 yeah it’s kind like who you want to be, April or Miss Witch? Or like what you said there, “personal happiness” supported by Kael vs “greater goods” supported by Brannan.
I wish I had the time to give these CGs better qualities but I’m so glad to hear your thoughts:)
Hello, everyone! I'm aware that some of you have already played this little game, and I want to say you have my heartfelt gratitude for that! <3
Thanks to @Sthelen and others we found a few typos in the game which might impact player experience, I made an updated version of the game (v1.0.1) for those who haven't played it yet:)
(btw I have checked the rules in the community, looks like uploading a new version is allowed during October as the judges have already downloaded all the builds)
I had fun playing! I'm so interested to see what comes next for this game!
Thank you friendlybard! So happy you enjoyed it!
I will make a post about future plan in November:)
I really love the character designs in this! The story is so interesting too. I love it whenever there is a story that spreads across hundreds of years. (Also, Kael my love. ♥️) If you ever think of making this a full game later on, you have me eagerly waiting for it!
Aww thank you Techno! <3
Yes there were so many regrets during the short one month development and so many things I wanted to tell my readers about April, Kael and others (>﹏<)
Please look forward to the future games of Witch's Curse!
Quite an unpolished gem that could be much more once it shines. It just needs time outside the game jam's time limited constraints.
Thanks Sthelen! Also really appreciate all the feedbacks you gave on Reddit:)
I really liked this game.
aww thank u! Could I ask who’s your favourite character? I’m really curious :)
My favorite character is Kael.
Glad to know, thank u!
