The aiming seems to be off center and the axe seems to not be as useful as the gun. I suggestion I would make would be that the bosses have more random but slower attacks. Right now, you can stand in the sweet spot for the circle of bullets and spam fire until the boss decides to move to a different spot.
Nice idea, and the context was definitely something. xD The aim is a bit off, but I managed to make it to the end on the second attempt.
