One of the dead ends made me rethink how player decisions can fit into a narrative in general. It was clear that the choice would endanger the main character. The fact that the result was predictable made the choice more satisfying. It made the world feel more real and made me feel like I had agency as a player. It also serves to make later, more unpredictable consequences of choices more surprising. I will be keeping in mind how well a player can predict consequences of their decisions in any future projects I work on.
This is top-notch storytelling. The pacing and plotting are expertly handled, beginning with a calm, slice-of-life vibe and gradually revealing the sinister side of the story. The characters are well-developed and the art is beautiful. I liked the music, but would have liked a little more sound design to bring in more dramatic musical themes on the tense and scary moments. Still, a great story very well executed.
The art style is amazing and the music fits the game perfectly. I was stunned when I saw the attention to detail, considering the timeframe and I really enjoyed playing the game.
The anime artstyle is superb. I don't know why but this reminds me of The Letter by Yangyang Mobile especially the music.
