Good effort, sad to hear that you didn’t have time to finish. The controls work fine and the song helps create a spooky ambience. It’s just missing more content.
What does the song mean? Oh, if you enter the house and move past the left door, you can't get back -at least I was trapped then.

As for the bug I'm not sure why this is happening I'll check this out

And I found what caused the bug and fixed it
Was using a box collider for my character
The capsule one seems better in this situation to not get stuck on the ground
super interesting! when the theme was announced i actually had a similar idea of a shadow creature that can't move when the human shined a light on them, very cool to see how you implemented it here with the shadow actually disappearing. looks so natural. the singing was nice too
