This had me trippin fr. It nails the PS1 vibes so hard it’s like stepping back in time, but with a crazy twist

The whole webcam thingy? Wild. Some parts were mad confusing, but that’s retro horror, lol.

The lore was deep af, I was shook lol

Controls were a lil janky but it adds to the charm for sure.

If you’re into old school scares and 4th wall break mind game type stuff, you gotta peep this. INSANE work for a jam game.

This one was an absolute pleasure to play!! Fitting somewhere right between early Resident Evil and Silent Hill while not getting bogged down with dated controls, the soul of that era bleeds through with very little friction: even down to the tank-style control and over-the-shoulder gunplay.

Fans of classic horror, don't miss this.

That's not all that's offered here though. In a style similar to Inscryption or Doki!Doki! this game takes a step into the meta-textual. In a style I affectionally would call "Baby's First ARG" you'll be handed tools along the way to use outside of the game to get the full story. I'm sure there's even more than meets the eye on a first playthrough, but key elements are presented rather explicitly. If you've heard of ARGs, want to see what they are like, but aren't quite ready for a few of the more obtuse ARGs availableRequiem (1998) stands as a perfect entry point into the genre.

Man, this is just a wild ride. If you’re into that classic PS1 horror vibe, this game nails it—it feels straight out of the Silent Hill/Resident Evil playbook, but with its own fresh twists that keep you guessing. The fixed camera angles, the gritty look, that constant feeling like something’s lurking just out of sight… it’s all there, and it’s seriously well done.

But what really makes it stand out is how it messes with you. There are these “developer” notes and audio logs that break the fourth wall and pull you even deeper into the story, and the limited third-person view is actually a cool twist. You only get a few seconds at a time, so it forces you to think strategically about when to use it—and yeah, it’s intense.

Atmosphere-wise Requiem nails it. It’s creepy in all the right ways, and the sound design just cranks up that uneasy feeling. And I’ve gotta say, the PS1-style graphics are on point; it really feels like you’re playing something straight out of the late ‘90s, but with way more going on.

For a game jam project, it’s insane how much they packed into this. There’s loads of lore and details if you’re into digging around for extra story bits, and it’s just an all-around fun (and spooky) experience. If you want a horror game that’ll keep you on your toes and mess with your head a bit, Requiem is definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to a full release (hopefully) sometime soon!

This is a game that makes very little sense. Its also very unfinished: missing a lot of sounds, and some bugs. Also the ending isn't as panned out as I had liked. Play time is about 3-4 minutes. Have fun!! A controller is recommended.
