Extended submission deadline and visibility

Last night there were less than 24 hours until the submission deadline so today I made my game public so I could make it  a jam entry [the game cannot be selected if it is a draft]. After doing so I discovered that the submission deadline had been extended without notice so I quickly changed it to "draft" again. However, it seems that I was not the only one to do that. At least two (perhaps more?) other games have done this too.

If you regard the exact publishing date as important (according to rule 13 but the date was suddenly changed) I think you should let us know here. Or perhaps just accept that some games were published this saturday?

Thanks!

I'm very sorry. You are indeed correct.

It has been usual in previous jams to extend the deadline slightly a day or two before the end, and I usually announce on twitter and discord, but I should have also updated here too, and signposted it better.

My apologies.

No problem, I just thought it would be good to bring it up here, as it is relevant to when the games should be made public.
