Can submission be a link to Replit?

it's the only tool I can really use that works on all devices.

I suspect not. I've never heard of Replit, so I have no idea what this is. (I'll Google it in a moment.) Your game must have its own itch.io game page, otherwise you can't submit it. The game page could theoretically contain nothing more than a link to an html page, which in turn links to your Replit thingy, but this breaks rules 18 and 19. Rule 18 is primarily because:

  • Visually-impaired players like to download the game to use with their preferred screen reader.
  • Those that have poor internet connection prefer to play offline.

These are new rules that were introduced this year after extensive discussion on the intfiction forum regarding the preservation of interactive fiction competition games.

Replit wouldn't be allowed anyway, as rule 16 prohibits the use any AI generated code or text content. AI generated images are okay, providing they are acknowledged as such.
