Cute game, it was nice when the guard would send people I abused to the shadow-realm. I saw pics of the theatre on the discord and how it was 3D and thought it was really cool! The aliens were cute, but didn't have much character. I've never heard of playing a prank of jumping over someone in the movie theatre and so took me some time to figure it out and had to check out the overview button in the main menu. The Credits button didn't work and the options button brought me to a blank screen. I had to restart one playthrough as the guard got stuck in the corner and wouldn't leave. It was rewarding to clear them all out and have the place to myself! I like how how many aliens and where was randomized. I just found the gameplay depth a little shallow as you can only jump people and sit. The back wall of chairs was un-mountable. Went well with the theme! The permabanned text on loss was a little cringe. The music was cute if a little childlike.
Fun and cute game! I feel the story could've used some work as the miasma thing didn't make much sense and there were a ton of spelling errors in the intro. The angle was interesting and lent itself well to the game, but the walls being removed for visibility made the room feel too open and the black background didn't add much character. I like the jester hat, but would have been more engaged with a modeled character and I felt that while the environments were lively and had a good amount of props, there were no decals or anything and it felt pretty sterile. Collecting floating crowns works but wasn't very intriguing. The different hats and beer was interesting but I was hoping for a helmet for the last level. The jester hat being a pickup made no sense to me, and the beer swirling around the player, did it make you go faster? All in all, great work on this game, you should be proud! :D Getting rick rolled -_- Since we got pranked in the discord as well felt a little overplayed. Did well for the theme though.
Girlfriend review! - Really love the gameplay and art style. Objectives were very clear and the levels got progressively harder. The 'Fool' theme was well established and I like the silly goofy little guy. My only real criticisms are that I wish the guards didn't die so easily -- they would die before they fell on the spikes sometimes (hitboxes were too big) and would also randomly all die at once instead of individually. I think fixing that would have made it more of a challenge. Overall, really cute game and I'd definitely play it again. Would have liked the end screen to have been a bit different from the start screen -- I didn't see that there was one until I played it the third
I enjoy the premise of the game and it is charming. The top down view is interesting but I feel could've been implemented better, I feel so far away and can't connect or even see the kids before I run into them. The objectives seem really wack and don't make a lot sense and are hard to keep track of throughout the level. I played a few times but had a hard time discerning what the water gun and horn did. The math games left something to be desired, it wasn't conducive to engaging gameplay. Fun game overall, I enjoyed the art, the screams and the vibe! For the theme of fool, it did well using a clown, but I found it didn't have a through-line in the gameplay, no fooling going on.
Great game! Charming and fun! Although I felt a bit like a fool when the customers started to pile up and I had to feed them their friends, I felt it didn't fully connect with the fool theme. I also felt it grabbed a lot from Spongebob without distinguishing itself enough, but for 3-4 days, amazing work! I liked the art style and music!
