Description
All the songs are composed using FL Studio both PC and Mobile.
There are 4 songs which we will briefly individually elaborate each:
1) Distant Longing: The song's genre is breakbeat. It should represent the wander of thoughts about exploring the seemingly-endless space without any goals as if it's our home and is always calling. We tried to build up a subtle, surreal vibe with glassy elements combining with breakbeat percussions!

2) Septima Labyrinthum: The genre is experimental. The idea is that we sometimes kinda concern about the existence of everything especially the universe itself, creating uncomfortable feelings as if fallen into a reverie of our own mind which has twists and turns of thoughts, just like maze. The uncomfortable aspect of it is from a fact that it used time signature of 7/4 to simulate confusion and complexity. We tried to build up a strange and uncomfortable atmosphere with glassy elements and experimental-like percussions!

3) Nexum Levatus: The genre is Electro House. It represents the continuation of stress and concern from Septima Labyrinthum, but finally gave up due to the unnecessity to overthink about it so instead, accepting the reality, feeling the relief and connection. We tried to build up a sentimental feeling with the solid reverb square lead and intense percussions!

4) Incandescent Serenity: The genre is Hardcore, preferred by UK Hardcore. This portrays the final mindset of empathy and bond between us and the universe. We've always been close and lived together, as if we're truly close to each other, leading the feeling of joy and peace. We tried to build up a joy and energetic vibe with energetic elements combining with fast and intense percussions!

Message from the artist
Hello! This is my first time joining a Game Jam. I've never been so hard-working on something fun for a very very long time, this feels incredible although I sacrificed some sleep hours, but overall worth it! Thank you for creating this exciting contest and I hope I'll be seeing more from it!

How does it fit the theme?
The idea of "Close to me" in this album according to what we've come up is that we exist inside of the universe over and over throughout the species lifespan, making up every sorts of concepts about it and creating assumptions about it as if we really acknowledge and understand it. No matter what we do, the universe is always around us. We never truly apart from each other. We've been living together as if we're so close in the first place, leading to the feeling of being connected, the bond, the empathy, a thrilling reminder that we are never alone.

This is not what I was expected and I wasn't disappointed at all, my favorite's gotta be nexum levatus, overall the album got better as it went on, nice work!

Love how each track is a different genre but the instrumentation/tone quality kept them in the same ballpark. Not to mention how they're all well-produced. You mentioned in Discord that these songs might be too distracting for gameplay purposes, I only share the sentiment with "Incandescent..." since UK Hardcore is tough to fit in, but the first 3 songs are fine IMO. In fact, they remind me of No Straight Roads Soundtrack. Energetic and can work with a narrative focused on the flow of the music.
