thank you!

Hmmm, I think the kick fits well but the snare and hat had a lot of high-frequency information that the piano doesn't have. I'd consider putting a low pass filter on them but if that doesn't sound good, try a vinyl VST like Izotope Vinyl or a tape one like CHOWTapeModel to tame the high end.   All of the percussions were significantly louder than melodic instruments, so perhaps you could lower them down and use sidechain compression for them to still cut through?

That was long haha sorry I just wanted to spitball some potential solutions that came to mind!

Yoo this is amazing. Although not 100% identical backward and forward (that's the actual C challenge haha), the song still sounded primarily good when reversed! It was dope how the click/kick, the chiptune synth, and the vox chop stayed the same. The melodic contents and rhythm still hold as well with the only thing getting wacky being the lead bell getting off-beat due to its decay.

Palindrome challenge aside, it's a very nice atmospheric track!

I'm seconding Jofes here, the risers take me out of the song since they were too sudden imo. The rest of the song is nice though, a simple but effective track. If I hear correctly, aside from the 2 risers, the reversed element is the synth at 0:38. It sounds good but does run by pretty quickly, I wished the reverse theme was more of a focused point!

It really means a lot to hear this. TYSM!

Thank u!

Okay, that melody was impressive sounding amazing both forward and backward. You've got some sick arrangement skillz!

The reversed part was very solid, it retained the melodic idea and I honestly wouldn't think it was a reversed audio if you isolate that for me to listen. More instruments and flourishes would be cool but I understand how that could be tricky with the challenge.

Super impressive submission! The first track blew me away. A lot of Super Challenge tracks tend to be a bit droning but yours felt like a full arrangement with sections that's evolving while also fulfilling the palindrome aspect.

Simply breathtaking ambiance. The reversed elements sounded natural. Heard quite a bit of ambient submissions but this one still jumps out to me. (and the cat cover helps too! i uhhh thought the cat was being eaten by a big creature with many rows of teeth or smth pls tell me thats not the case) The genre lends really well to this challenge and your execution is impeccable.

Bruh, honestly no critique here. A perfect submission for this challenge imo. I can imagine it being perfect for a lot of contexts, not just for games but as complimentary music for media in general. The tone is pleasant, the production is good, provides interesting textures. Like receiving a gentle ear massage.

The main synth for the first half was a bit mid-heavy and piercing IMO but I do appreciate that it sounds the same both forward and backward. Other than that, I love everything else. The percussions are full and other complimentary synths fill the space nicely.

I like how the DAW screenshot looks like a skull that fits the track haha!

The palindrome element here is cool and fits the B challenge perfectly. Don't hear metal in these jams very often so this was a refreshing submission. I especially love the bass and guitar tone. The only critique would be that I felt like wanting the drums to punch harder through the mix.

I LIKE IT. HUMAN MUSIC. This is a very solid track overall.  This could be due to the palindrome limitations but I do feel like wanting to hear more flairs/ear candies in the song because although the melody is different, the simple arpeggiated idea makes the sections sound similar.

These are some amazing unconventional ambiances. Can't stress how much I love the quirky percussions, I'm a sucker for the bit-crushed ones. This kind of sounds like if Suda51 made LSD simulator.

The reversed elements were a bit tucked back but both tracks are mellow and solid! I don't know how to explain this but...No Melon sounds more like a lemon? ...While No Lemon sounds like...melon? Wait the title says no so that's intentional right? Or is it not? Anyway, when live gives you melons you make lemons.

Impressive implementation of reversed sounds to complete the hardest challenge. It's pretty solid although a bit repetitive but that could be due to trying to make it a palindrome. My two critiques would be that the first song sounds a bit muddy, and the "antiparallel" chiptune synth sounds a tad dissonant. (it kind of ummm *coughs* remind me of crazy bus but just a lil bit yk only a lil bit)

This is no cap amazing. I love how the synth is detuned starting off and slowly feels in tune. Mixing-wise, the pre-drum part was perfect. When the drums came, I felt that other instruments sounded muted and obscured, not sure if that's due to overusing the sidechain or you simply carved a lot out. I wanted to hear more low-end "beef" to go along with the drums.

That aside though, I love all the elements' tone and arrangement. Sounds solid together as a whole song, yet I can hear them separated for different level sections. Also appreciate how it's filled with pleasant ear candies.

Great use of the chiptune sound to fit the hardest challenge, I thought of similar things but my composition alone isn't strong enough yet to make a track sound good haha!

It's mainly solid but I do feel like certain parts are dissonant and came out of nowhere. Although overly sticking to the rules can hurt your work, I think this one could benefit from following music theory more while keeping the use of wacky chords/notes to a tasteful degree.

Man, I like the crunch in your tracks. All the electronic elements sound super good, mixing is nice too. The metallic whoosh that comes in at 0:43 and throughout the song took me out of it a bit though, maybe tame that a bit? I dig that the no drum version stands on its own well, useful for dynamic music stuff. The reverse retains the rhythm surprisingly well too!

I really like this, it's a nice chill track that could fit in a lot of games. My mind drifts to puzzles or idle phone games. Love how "revolviness" it sounds. I just wished the hat had more variance in volume/velocity to sound more lively. Solid track overall.

Although not necessarily fitting theme B, I can hear the palindrome ideas in the melodies. 👍👍👍

I find the track a bit too "barebones" if that makes any sense. Could use more elements to sound fuller, especially the lack of low end, which makes the track sound hollow.

TYSM! My tracks in previous jams can be repetitive so I spent more time developing sections.

Thx!

This is super cool! It's an effective simple game with a surprising amount of polish. I like the menu transition and the music choice fits nicely. Can't play for long though cuz I'm going to give myself carpal tunnel syndrome lmao!

Yeah seconding both commenters below. The core game is good and I like the aesthetics. I'd love some kind of sound cue emanating from Wendigo when it's close and a more varied environment.

yeee I seasoned it to perfection

The idea of a buffed Chao Thi teaching the inhabitants a lesson is funny. As a sound designer, I wish to learn audio tricks, especially on the sound selection, from the people behind this game as it is heaven for the ears. The game could benefit from smoother camera distance transitions and a goal/completion of sorts.

Not bad! Was a bit confused about how to accept or reject at first but grasped it pretty fast. The game did get buggy after you give a wrong answer though, like 2 tickets present or even soft locks the game one time I was playing.

Cool idea still and I love the little visual detail where how Nan's eyes could be different!

Oooh a nice relaxing game. The art, especially the soundtrack, reminds me of Coffee Talk! I also noticed that the cat's meow has a randomized pitch that's kind of musical? LOCK IT TO THE PENTATONIC SCALE OF THE BG TRACK SO THE PLAYER CAN FREESTYLE.

 Coffee Talk - Toge Productions

A really cool idea! The fact that you need to keep track of how rotten your ingredients are made the game more hectic and fun. The only critique would be that I wish it wouldn't keep making slashing sounds when I'm clicking on text box buttons and not killing humans haha.

(Man, I'm not getting the 500 Baht I suck ass.)

This is amazing! The bike handling was solid and the cutscenes were impressive for 7 days. Great job overall, I was into it with the narrative.

Critiques would be that I was confused when I needed to pray at the shrine before moving on, the cursor wasn't back to locked mode after closing the pause screen, and if you keep pressing E it'd just play the first dialogue over and over again haha!

Still, I discovered these bugs from exploring/messing around which I did because of how cool the game was. Super nice for a week.

Man, I suck at math.

I like the graphics and appreciate how the map has proper collisions unlike Big Rigs. It gave me a good laugh but would love for the skeleton man to be better at keeping himself upright when I'm trying to win lmao.

A super solid two-player experience which is impressive for a week! Has good gameplay depth/tactics that can be employed. The map looks good too!

Made me laugh, made me love, and made me hit "things" with a stick. Truly an innovative narrative experience. I could feel that something had awoken inside me. A new door into my soul. A sense of discovery, digging deep into the roots of human experience and consciousness. Questioning my perception of reality.

To conclude, those were strawberry jams and the small guys were strawberry jam monsters.
