Description
These tracks were composed for submission to Thailand Game Jam X OST Composing Jam. The theme is “Close to Me,” and the picture of the girl and the robot. According to the picture, there are marks on the girl’s ankles and fingers, which made me imagine that she was imprisoned in a human experimentation laboratory. She is one of the clone soldiers for the war that is coming, but she doesn’t want to get hurt anymore. So, she decides to escape with her robot friend before the war begins. Time is RUNNING OUT so it’s time to run away!

Concept for Each Track:
1.Main Theme - "The Girl and the literal Robot" : Using high-key melodies to express the girl’s feelings of pain and sorrow, while the low-key synth represents the robot who always stays by her side. At the end of the song, the melody changes to indicate that she has decided to change her fate.
(Track name "The Girl and the literal Robot" is inspired by the song name 'The Girl And The Robot' by Röyksopp)

2.Normal Stage - Catch me if you CAN : This stage is a running game. The girl and the robot must evade the guards and find the exit to escape from the laboratory, so I use fast melodies to match the urgency of their situation.
*The entire track can be looped

3.Boss Fight - Like sister, like sister : The girl and the robot finally find the exit, but another clone soldier girl, who looks just like the girl, is blocking their way. The girl and the robot decide to fight for their freedom.
*Can loop between 0:12-1:09 and 0:33-1:06

4.Good End - Live our own lives : The girl and the robot win and choose to spare the cloning soldier girl’s life. She allows them to escape from the laboratory. They move to a small village far away and start living their own lives.

5.Bad End - nO wAy OUt : The bad end can occur under two conditions. The first happens if the girl and the robot lose the boss fight. The second occurs if they win the boss fight but decide to kill the cloning soldier girl, who has a self-destruct explosion. In this case, the girl and the robot vanish.

DAW : Nuendo 12

How does it fit the theme?
I use piano and keyboard instruments to represent a girl, and synthesizer instruments in tracks 1-3, and 5, along with a double bass in track 4, to represent a robot. This combination shows that they are always together, matching the theme 'Close to Me.'

The ambient is dope! I love how every song have own characteristic, create a lot more feeling of atmosphere to fulfill the interaction media like video game.

Imagining how the second half of the Good End song would be really wonderful if it were played by real solo string.

Thank you! I also wanna hear the Good End song with the real string<3

Great work! The tracks have a video game soundtrack feel to them, which is the point of this jam, and I love how you’ve added a story and concept to each one.

Love the intensity of each song. It is how music in video games should be.

Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you like it ;w; <3

Clever to use the more acoustic piano sounds with synths to signify the girl and the robot correlating to how they're together like the theme! My fav's got the be "Normal Stage" since the beat hits hard and my monkey brain likes hard-hitting beats.

My only critique would be that "Main Theme" could've ended with a bigger BANG. Like super huge and dramatic!

Thank you for listening ka!

I also agree to your comment. Actually I want to make the main theme a bit longer an increase its impact. But I might need more time ;w;
