I really enjoy the simplicity and straightforwardness of this game and I would love to play it again! I think a lot of smart decisions were made about how to make the game reflect the period and give your player agency without the game being too large or complicated.
I played as the gentleman and as the debutante. A few thoughts: 1) When you dance with Bingley or Lizzie, there isn't a scene or anything to show what happens. 2 ) I felt like it was difficult to understand how to level anything up. I tried to gain skills by reading and practicing the piano but I couldn't. Then it said I was too tired to dance and needed to exercise more, but I wasn't sure how to do that other than going into town. 3) Maybe add some new talents to gain after the first ball so it doesn't feel repetitive? Or some new books or music to play?
Diving in to play again now. Thank you for making this, it's fun!
This was actually a very good game with good card mechanics. Wish it were made into a full game.
Very good looking game with unique styling. Lack of sound definitely brings down the score. I also somehow managed to glitch the princess and now I cant finish the game because she is invisible.
