I made a few attempts to get my cat and escape. managed to get the cat and found all the mountains but got killed by the glowing eyed cat. tried again a few times but kept getting killed by that same cat lol.

I'd recommend conserving some of your stamina when you're in the opening to make a run for it in case she spots you. Hopefully, if you desire as such, you'll be able to bring the kitty home with this trick.
