How did you choose to implement the Theme: Feral Beast in your game?
I added a monster to the game that hunts you down in specific rooms

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
No, I didn't

Actually pretty good. Wish there was a cutscene for the ending, like for the beginning

Developer (1 edit)

yeah I didn't have time to add cutscenes and polish them, so I just made a car go forwards and edited two vids for the endings

Developer

Yeah since I'm no programmer, it was really only Sab who was able to get all the narrative I wrote in there. For our timeframe, they did great! An ending cutscene would be cool as a later on addition!

As I walked in the ballroom, i walked and walked. After a while I turned to the entrance and saw a shadow! My pulse went up and I ran for my life. Hopeless.

Very nice game, I like the intro with the letter and the car. And the castle was very spooky! Great work!

Developer

Thank you!

There were a few awkward moments (I actually exited the ballroom immediately after I entered it and was teleported to the other entrance above the stairs), but I also felt genuinely afraid when the music stings came on. It was undercut a little when one of the monsters attacked me in the darkness but I couldn't see them so I just tapped E and assumed it was probably doing something, but the level design was still very atmospheric in that instance and in general I like the design of the castle as being something like a Minotaur maze. Nicely done!

Thank you!

Ran into a few bugs but I did enjoy myself.
Really loved the Ballroom level design.
Keep up the effort. ^_^

Developer

Thank you for playing my game.

What was the bugs if you mind to share?

Sure ^_^
+ You got a few bugs with the scene changes in unity. such as spawning in the wrong door you came from, my character froze when re-entering the up stairs area. Also not sure why but the intro wont play again if you try to start a new game.
+ Small audio cue's will trigger in the maze and act like the player found a scroll or item when nothing is there.
Not sure if you program but if you do just message me on discord and i'll make a detailed explanation on how to exactly fix them. Apart from those was all good!

Developer

The scene change was something I didn't have time to fix, the audio cues in the maze was the monster hearing you. (Nothing happens if you've stunned the monster)

The atmosphere and monsters are really terrorific. The mechanic to get rid of the monsters was interesting, still I would prefer to stay away from them (I got some scares haha).

Developer

Thank you for the great feedback
