Very nicely done, especially for your first jam! Your gf's art it lovely too. You did well to have frequent checkpoints and quick resets when the player dies, otherwise the game could get frustrating. Well done!!

Good game, I really like it. Interesting mechanics, good polish and a nice atmosphere.
Nice polish, but the hit boxes could be more forgiving. (I might also just be bad at the game)
I found a little area where the spikes don't "kill" the bird. It's at the part near the end where you are about to climb up the steps and the spikes are stacked up by threes. Itch.io won't let me put in a picture otherwise I'd show you. You could add in an easter egg for that on the other hand...
I think I know where you're referring to, and that's actually a weird spot because the checkpoint is right next to the spikes, so if you go left just by a little you basically respawn in the same spot eheh
If you mean that you can actually stand on the spikes then that's an oversight, whoops :p
No I can't stand on it per se... but if I recall I can somehow "float" next to it glitching back and forth in the air... something like that.
It's got a really great creepy vibe. Nice sprites and lots of detail in the map. The things that kill you are sometimes hard to see. Challenging and fun game :)
