Nice! The double jump height felt a little unpredictable. But the stat progression was really fun and the proc world gen is an impressive feature. Falling to the next level was really satisfying. Nice job completing the game!

Game looks really nice, and I like the concept and music for the different areas. My characters unfortunately got locked up in the phoenix area so I wasn't able to complete the game. Running back and forth was a little tedious but some of the fun movement options like the jumping swing were really fun to do while traveling. Nice job!
Nice game! The UI was a little scrunched when playing non-fullscreen. Deciding on a resolution for the game in browser, setting it in Unity's game tab and setting the resolution on the Canvas Scaler component can help you make sure everything is anchored and scaled correctly. I really enjoyed the writing. Nice job :)
Fun! Had some trouble with the double jump, I think at certain timings it doesn't work, which was a little frustrating in some parts where you had to complete multiple jumps or fall. I really liked the level design, the power ups were fun, and the sword slash combo and powered up attacks felt nice. Good job!
Thanks for playing! All of the objects that are part of the popup effect have a script on them. The script adjusts the rotation and position of the object according to the flipping page object, this makes it look like it is "stuck" to the page. It makes it looks like the object is a child of the page without having to do weird hierarchy stuff. It also rotates the object down then back up for the "pop-up" animation.
I've just made the repository public, so feel free to check out the code. Some features (like this one) were a little rushed and might be a little messy 😅
This was my favorite game of the jam so far, outstanding job! The art, music, story was fantastic. The platforming felt great, especially for a game made in 2 weeks. Having the house follow you was a great design decision. The first time I filled my magic bar I was dreading walking all the way back with no orbs to pick up but the house was right behind me, such a relief! It's also really impressive that so many people could make such a cohesive game in this amount of time, great job!
An end goal would be nice to have and keep me playing longer, it does simulate the never-ending feeling of home isolation well though haha. Having the stats screen disappear while moving was a little annoying. There are also some balance issues, after maxing my stats I could just go back and forth between sleeping and working out indefinitely. Cool concept though, the game was pretty relatable to me and I'm sure lot's of others :)
The game seems very ambitious and I really like the look of the game. I do find myself confused as to where I am and where I need to go. I think there might be a bug where your rotation occasionally snaps very suddenly which adds to the confusion. I think highlighting enemies through walls would make the game a lot more enjoyable, so you spend less time looking for enemies. Nice submission for the time constraint though! :)
Major Journey vibes. The music, the sound effects, and the visuals are stunning. And the actual platforming systems are perfect, really appreciate the extra little time you get to jump when walking off and edge and stuff. Ending's music and color shifting to white gave me goosebumps. 6/5, awesome job.
Great job Vinark! The art is wonderful and the progression rate is perfect. And kudos for putting in a free skip button. You've packed in a lot of content for such a short period of time, and still managed to include all the important little details like the truck telling you where to expand next and the tutorial tips coming up right when you need them. Great job!
I use Krita too! It can export to psd but not psb, but there is a way to convert between the two. Export to PSD then convert the file to PSB using "magick". https://imagemagick.org/index.php
Idk if you can convert with the GUI but I do it from the terminal like so: "magick convert my_image.psd my_image.psb"
Woah! I would give the visuals 6 stars if I could. The simple 3D buildings and textures match perfectly with the pixelated sprites. The post processing looks great too! The music also was a really nice fit with the game. And I'm a sucker for voiceovers. I think the walk time could be reduced a little, and I wish the choice was whether or not to take the money in the first place. But the game gave me a great vibe and was a really nice experience. Outstanding!
Nice entry! I loved the different environment and all the little animations on different things in the background. You should checkout Unity's 2D lighting system, they give you 2D lights which I think you would really like experimenting with. I did get stuck at one point on some wires that did no damage. But all the animations and visuals look really great. Wonderful job.
You might be able to still keep your nice title transition by using an additive scene for either the game or the title. But either way you still pulled off the replaying really well! For the skinning editor, you export your sprite as a .psb which Unity can import using the "PSD Importer" asset. Unity will notice your body parts are on different layers and will automatically split them as a "multiple" type sprite. Brackey's has a good tutorial, and after an hour or so you should be set! Good job once again :)
