I like the concept of the game being made by the three fairies but it doesn't really have anything to do with the theme, unfortunately.
Now that's a pretty meme. Exquisite!
So I oversaw a game between 3 players.
And I think the game is okay! It relies on luck but building a Pichun can happen fast enough, which is a good thing in this game.
I like how even if you get a card stolen, it's not a big setback in general.
I also notice that a game can have the last 2 players have a Pichun in the same turn. You gotta have a player complete Pichun by stealing AND the robbed player complete their Pichun by picking from the deck. It almost happened in front of my eyes, it's just they both were 1 card away lol.
If only it happened I'd be really satisfied to see it end in a double Pichun.
Also I got very peculiar shuffling for this game as the Steal cards somehow came one after another. There were 3 Steals in the same hand when a player refreshed her hand after giving a Pichun lol
Anyway, game gets a 4 in Overall. It is fun and functional enough.
I made a log of the game I oversaw. Whoever can't quite try the game, feel free to consult, I guess.
3 fairies playtest their own game
just logged back into my itch.io account and holy fuck i did not expect someone to actually playtest this for me
(dammit now i have an obligation to turn this into an actual game)
I noticed the game uses 54 cards, so I tried to re-interpret it with a standard deck of 54 playing cards (including jokers) to make it playable if you have a deck lying around:
Explanation: Each suit corresponds to the four fairies (Cirno + three fairies of light). You're supposed to have 8x of each letter in "pichun", 2 of each with the same character on it, which I represented by groups of playing cards: p: 2-3, i: 4-5, c: 6-7, etc. Having a pichun with all the same suit corresponds to having a pichun with all the same character. The deck is also supposed to have 6 "steal" cards, which I interpreted as aces or jokers.
Rule clarification: I make the assumption that when you steal, you get to choose the card to steal, and can look at their hand when doing so. Otherwise, stealing isn't advantageous.
I played a round by myself with two players, and it seemed like a decent enough card game. Would probably be much better with 3-4 to make the max pichun a relevant element (with two players a regular pichun is equivalent to a max pichun).
Thanks for posting this! Since the cards weren't uploaded afterwards I mostly rated by reading through the rules. If I had read this sooner I would have played through a game with a couple people, whoops
