Really interesting song! The constant 'buzzing' in the background prevents you from really feeling the power of the melody's chords, giving a nuanced eerie feeling. I think this song really fits the fireflies, and partly the town as well. Overall, lovely song, well done!
The field recording is subtle, but adds a lot to your track to make it feel more real and alive- super cool! The lo-fi chord progression is great for a firefly nighttime theme. My favorite part is the vibraphone walking up and down the scale that starts at 0:24. Great work and thank you for sharing!
The detune with the synth harmony is a bit too much sometimes but other than that this is a very good theme with great aesthetics!
