It's gloomy, it's night-ish and also a bit... creepy?

I see you've done something very interesting. I believe you use 5 measures of 4/4 in one 'theme' instead of the common 4. After the 5, you repeat. This made me at first confused about the rhythm (starting at 0:40 especially, but later at 2:00 as well (but using 2/4).

The song sounds great, and the composition is nice and simple! I wouldn't say it would fit most towns (but who knows, maybe an eerie stealthy town?), but it does really fit the firefly theme! Overall, nice entry :)

It seems to be minimalist but in the end not so much.

There are little effects, little sounds that come in and enrich the composition a lot.

I also hear that there are 3 kinds of shakers. It sounds very good.

Great job!

I like the dark, mysterious vibe that you approached this theme from. The sparseness of the low pad with the simple percussion and the pluckiness of the melody instrument make me feel like being in a cave where the only light is coming from the small fireflies fluttering around you. The danger is only apparent when you allow the notes to be held longer and it crescendos, but I like that it only lasts a second or two before returning to the gloom. Great work and thank you for sharing!

I appreciate the 5s
