Firefly Town
Correlation to theme
This would work best in a small village secluded deep in a forest, where fireflies illuminate the nights.

Day: This is a soothing chord progression. It’s cool how you made the rhythmic percussive pattern out of what sounds like a crackling fire noise. The subtle ride cymbal adds just the right amount of brightness to make this a convincing day theme. I also really like the glockenspiel melody and how it is doubled by the woodwind instrument and guitar.
Night: Great job with instrumentation here. I can tell you used similar instruments, but you managed to effectively turn down the brightness and make a track with imagery of a soothing night.
Shop: The turntable crackles are a nice touch that do give it a more indoor classic sound. The crotale and melodica-sounding instrument are probably my favorite instrument combination you’ve used so far. I wonder if using reverb effects to make the space feel “smaller”, especially in the background piano harmony, would help the space feel more intimate like an indoor shop setting.
Overall: I like that you created a loop for your village and simply changed instrumentation and layers to allow for seamless transitions between day and night (and when entering the shop) without the loop stopping and restarting at those transition points. Overall great work and thank you for sharing!
I enjoy the way you toyed with standard timing to make it feel like it wasn't standard
Day theme was my favorite in terms of instrumentation, even with the unusual time signature it captures the vibe quite well! Very well done!
Oh boy, 3 songs again..
Day: I am glad you play each section a few times. In the first section I had a bit of trouble finding the rhythm, but it was quickly improved on each successive repetition; in the second section I had a bit of trouble finding the beauty in the melody, but again, I quickly understood and liked the melody more. I am not saying this as a "I didn't like it" - the opposite in fact, I liked your approach! Overall, nice instruments, it felt indeed a bit like a camp in the forest, with a nice fire and all~
Night: Beautiful variation on the Day-variant! Nice use of glockenspiel/xylophone, piano/harp-ish, and soft flutes to make it easy on the ear. Love it!
Shop: Could as well have been a Night-variation for all I know! Soft on the ear and all. But from 0:29 I can feel the shop. It is a bit more wild, uses some funny instruments but overal keeps it simple as a shop should.
Great entry! I love the variations, I've been wanting to do that myself as well!
