The language and links in the description seems specific to games with a story or plot. Is this a jam specifically for visual novels and/or story-rich games, or does the game genre not matter?
The game genre does not matter. I believe most people arriving to this game jam will have experience with coding and creating visual novels/narrative-heavy games, but if you know how to make a 2D or 3D games in other genres and that's what you want to make, then you have permission to do so. :) Having fun with your game jam idea is the most important part, and if there's anything you think would be cool to make, then pursue it!
